M-Team Solutions specializes in placing high-level talent with top-tier companies across the nation. We are currently searching for a Construction Estimator for our client in Knoxville, TN. This is a hybrid, direct-hire opportunity with an established and growing company.
What you’ll be doing
The Construction Estimator must analyze drawings and other data to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. They will also review proposals to find the most cost-efficient way to complete projects for bidding. New hires must be able to communicate with vendors, subcontractors, construction superintendents, and engineers to discuss and formulate estimates, prepare proposals, and finalize estimates for prospective projects. This position requires employees to attend bid clarification meetings and perform site walks as needed.
The perfect experience for a candidate
Experience with estimating software is required. Construction field experience with piping, heavy industrial manufacturing plumbing, or HVAC is preferred. Experience estimating mechanical industrial power or manufacturing projects is also preferred, and 3+ years of experience estimating in the construction industry or a bachelor’s degree are both preferred but not required.
